Design: K&J Lessons

Project Overview

Roles: Brand Designer

Deliverables: Branding Package

Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop

Problem

K&J Lessons teaches one-on-one ski and snowboard lessons at various mountains that cater to upscale New York clientele. They needed branding to help get their business off the ground. It would be used for social media, website, collateral, and ads. It needed to accurately portray their team, and lend consistency to their branding.

Outcome

I worked to identify what K&J wanted to convey with their brand and what audience they were trying to reach.

SOME THINGS I ACCOMPLISHED IN THIS PROJECT WERE:

– Identify client goals
– Brand strategy
– Branding design
– Product design concepts

Brand Keywords

Energy, Vibrant, Winter, Training, Timeless, Contemporary

The branding for K&J Lessons needed to match the vibrant energy of their ski and snowboard instructors. I opted for a combination of classic and contemporary to pay tribute to the old-style timeless feel of art in winter sports, but with a modern twist. The logo, adorned with electric blue and green accents, embodies the energy of their team, and the classic feel of the typography is a nice contrast with the contemporary vibe of the graphics.
